Is it okay to still come in for treatments even after I feel better?

Usually a new patient will come in to see us, often several times a week for the first few weeks, and then less frequently as the ailment gets better. At a certain point, many patients often no longer need to come in for that ailment–for example, their shoulder no longer hurts, even after they have resumed normal activity.

Once a patient is feeling better, we are often asked, “Is it okay if I still come in?” And the answer is, “Of course!” Acupuncture has many excellent benefits, including increased relaxation, stress relief, better sleep, better mood, better energy, and much more. It’s also a great way to keep your body healthy. Many of our patients come in regularly even when nothing is wrong.  We all take our cars in for regular maintenance and just like our cars our bodies run better with regular maintenance. Think of it as a tune-up–for yourself!
