Introduction to iRest® Yoga Nidra Series

Yoga Nidra is an ancient form of meditation, originating in India thousands of years ago. iRest® Yoga Nidra is a modern adaptation of this deeply healing practice, developed by Dr. Richard Miller, a clinical psychologist.

This guided meditation, experienced while lying down comfortably, provides you with tools to reduce stress and enhance physical and psychological healing. Yoga Nidra allows your body to deeply relax, helps you get in touch with a sense of calmness and ease, and is helpful for people with trauma, chronic pain, or illness.

Experience first hand this incredible tool for health and healing that can be integrated into your relationships, and daily life.

Each class will consist of a brief overview of the principles of iRest® Yoga Nidra followed by a guided Yoga Nidra meditation. No yoga experience is necessary; just wear comfortable clothes.

Aleesha (one of our fabulous QiWorks employees) will continue teaching the classes at QiWorks due to the popularity of the initial iRest® Yoga Nidra series. Starting in January, regular Yoga Nidra classes will be held on the third Saturday of every month. The classes are from 6:30-7:45 p.m. No reservations are required. There is a $5 suggested donation.
